Add an expense
- Enter an amount and a short description ("Groceries", "Taxi to airport").
- Pick the payer — the person who actually paid.
- Choose how to split it across the group.
Every expense immediately updates each traveller's balance.
Categories
Tag expenses (food, transport, lodging, activities…) so you can see where the money went, not just how much.
Balances
The budget view shows who's up and who's down at a glance. Amounts are stored in the trip's currency; when it's time to settle, you can display them in another currency — see Settle up and Currencies & FX.
Log expenses as they happen rather than at the end — it takes seconds and saves an awkward reconstruction on the last night.
